Switzerland - Non-road Engines and Vehicles
Status
Responsibility for environmental regulation in Switzerland lies with the Bundesamt für Umwelt (BAFU) which is the Federal Office for the Environment, a part of the Federal Department of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications.
Switzerland is not a member of the European Union but it does generally follow EU emissions laws. Non-road emissions legislation in Switzerland incorporates the EU Directive 97/68 but applies additional particulate emissions requirements.
