Requirements for vehicle certification in Saudi Arabia are regulated by the GSO, which is the Gulf Cooperation Council's standards organization, and SASO, which is the national standards authority. Emissions requirements for 2024 for light and heavy duty vehicles are Euro 4/IV for gasoline vehicles and Euro 5/V for diesel vehicles.
