Russian Federation - Heavy Duty Vehicles
Status
The Russian Federation has adopted European standards for its emissions legislation and the current standard is equivalent to Euro V, known as Ecological Class 5. Euro V standards are in place from 1 January 2016; the introduction dates of the heavy duty emissions standards are in line with those for the equivalent light duty standards (defined with the corresponding Arabic numerals in the EU regulations).
Euro IV was originally due to be introduced from 1 January 2010, but was delayed until 1 January 2013 due to fuel supply problems.
