Indonesia - General
Status
Responsibility for emissions legislation in Indonesia lies with the government's Ministry of Environment and Forestry and emissions standards are managed within the Ministry's Directorate General of Pollution Control. Current emissions standards are equivalent to Euro 4 for light duty gasoline vehicles. Requirements for all new diesel light and heavy duty vehicles to comply Euro 4 and Euro IV standards, respectively, were originally due to apply from April 2021, but were delayed to April 2022. Motorcycle emissions requirements are at Euro 3 level.
