Vehicle emissions legislation in India is the responsibility of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). Bharat Stage VI emissions standards apply to all vehicles manufactured from 1 April 2020. Stage IV standards were previously in place, from 1 April 2016.
