The national body responsible for standards in Ecuador is INEN, Instituto Ecuatoriano de Normalización (Ecuadorian Standards Institute); this organisation manages the requirements for the certification of vehicles. Current emissions standards for motorcycles are equivalent to Euro 3 requirements.
