Emissions legislation in Denmark is the responsibility of the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which is a part of the Ministry of Environment. Denmark is a Member State of the European Union (EU) and transposed provisions of the Medium Combustion Plant directive into national legislation in 2019. National standards were previously in place to limit NOX and CO emissions from engines of 120 kW to 50 MW output.
