The current motorcycle emissions standards were first introduced in October 2016. These standards are based on Euro 4 requirements (with some variations from these) and use the WMTC (Worldwide Motorcycle Test Cycle) vehicle classification. Euro 5 equivalent standards will be in place from December 2020.
