Responsibility for emissions legislation in Indonesia lies with the government's Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Current emissions standards are equivalent to Euro 2 for light duty vehicles and Euro II for heavy duty vehicles. Plans are in place to implement Euro 4 and Euro IV standards respectively, starting in October 2018. Motorcycle emissions legislation is equivalent to Euro 3.
